The Indian Institute of Management (IIM Kozhikode) has partnered with the Naval Institute of Educational and Training Technology (NIETT) to create collaboration and exchange of best practises in the field of Instructional Leadership, Educational Psychology and Management. Prof. Debashis Chatterjee, Director of IIM Kozhikode, and Commodore Ben H Berson, Director of NIETT, signed the MoU. NIETT professors and chosen Naval Officers would be able to engage in and train in appropriate management programmes at IIM Kozhikode as a result of the relationship between the two institutes. "The length of the Memorandum of Understanding is initially for a three-year period with a provision for extension," according to the press release.

"MoU is bound to achieve exchange of academic skills in the field of management of education along with covering research, teaching, and training that will significantly benefit the defence players from NIETT," said Prof. Debashis Chatterjee, Director, IIM Kozhikode. We will build best practises in leadership and management that will be emulated in the future if we work together. Our defence forces have driven innovation and indigenisation to not only compete with the finest in the world, but also to protect the interests of our enterprises outside our borders, thanks to their sheer resolve and technical prowess. In the momentous 25th year of our academic journey, IIM Kozhikode is blessed to play a role in nation-building and training the best of the best."

"This MoU would assist NIETT expand its repertory and mandate to give world-class training to trainers of the military forces of India and friendly foreign nations," says Commodore Ben H Berson, Director of NIETT.
