On March 10, the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bombay commemorated its 63rd Foundation Day. IIT Bombay has honoured its teachers and alumni with awards for their services as part of the institute's 63rd foundation day celebrations. According to an IIT Bombay statement, the university has recognised select graduates for their achievements in a variety of sectors, including academics, research, and entrepreneurship.
Professor Subhasis Chaudhuri, Director of IIT Bombay, gave a welcome message during the Foundation Day celebration.
Professor Chaudhuri emphasised the institute's major achievements over the last 63 years in his welcome address. "An Institute's way to glory is through the hard work and dedication of its teachers, staff, and students," Professor Chaudhuri added, "but the signs of glory are the achievements of its alumni." We are thrilled with our graduates' achievements."
The institute has given the Distinguished Alumnus Awards (DAA) to select IIT Bombay alumni who have succeeded in their fields of work, as well as the Young Alumni Achiever Awards (YAAA).
YAAA wants to acknowledge the accomplishments of graduates under the age of 40 who have made significant achievements in their chosen field of work. In the year 2011, these awards were established. Professor Aditya G Parameswaran and Dr Shahaji More are the recipients of this year's Young Alumni Achiever Awards 2022.
