Anandha Kannan, a popular Tamil television performer, and VJ died on August 16, 2021. He died at the age of 48 after being diagnosed with a rare form of bile-duct cancer. Anandha Kannan was diagnosed with a rare type of cancer a few months ago and has been receiving therapy for it ever since.
Anandha Kannan, a Singapore native, began his career as an actor and television host in the country. In the 2000s, he relocated to Chennai and began hosting shows for a local music channel. Kannan's presentations had made him particularly popular among children in the 1990s. He hadn't worked in television or broadcasting in almost a decade.

In addition, he played the lead in two television shows, Sindubad and Kadhal Channel. He also presented the Savaal Singapore show from seasons 1 to 5.
