Description

The Morarji Desai National Yoga Institute (MDNIY) has the potential to become the world's best yoga institution on par with US Harvard University, Minister Ayush Sarbabanda Sonoval said Monday. According to the official release, Sonoval said this while addressing MDNIY students and faculty during his first visit to the institute after taking over as Minister Ayush. “MDNIY can become the number one institution for students around the world. We need to make a global effort to do this. If the US can create an institution like Harvard, why can't we? " Sonoval said, adding that this could open up opportunities for thousands of students around the world to visit India for yoga teaching and research.

The Minister emphasized the need for a global approach to fulfilling the dream of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

“People are on the doorstep of India in search of beautiful and healthy bodies. MDNIY currently does all the work including yoga teaching, teaching, medicine and research. For university students who come from different parts of the world, hostels should be provided. "The excellent dormitory conditions at MDNIY will add value to the institution," said Sonoval.

According to the report, Minister Ayush visited all classes of the institute and talked with students.

In an interview with students, the minister said that he does yoga every morning for about 30 minutes. “Sonoval also visited the library, meditation center and the MDNII campus. He also saw the performances of students,” the message says.

“Over the past few years, MDNIY has taught yoga to 18,000 paramilitary soldiers,” said MDNIY Director Dr. Ishwar Basavaradi. He added that an attempt was made to introduce yoga to inmates and inmates of Tihara prison. “The yoga system brings new dimensions to our life. It should be included in your daily routine,” he said.
