Description

One-year executive programme in healthcare management (EPHM) has been announced by the Indian Institute of Management Calcutta which will start from September this year. The aim of this programme is to give an overview of the Healthcare sector spread all over the world and various policies and their executions. This includes applications of epidemic and disaster management which has turned out to be the need of the professionals.

The purpose of the programme is developing a kind of interdisciplinary orientation in lieu of the healthcare management and to train them for becoming managers. The course is also favourable for participants who like entrepreneurship and innovation in the Indian healthcare sector system and developing new ways to cope up with healthcare challenges.

All healthcare professionals  are applicable for this course— hospital administrators, doctors,  professionals coming from medical and allied fields such as medical insurance and pharmaceuticals and entrepreneurs from healthcare. This is a one-year programme and will be based online and Classes for 10-days in campus will be held on every Sunday.

The programme is based on the skills of experience and interactiveness which also uses active presentations of the participant and proper discussions along with case studies, online based lectures and guest speakers interacting.

Rajesh Bhattacharya who is the program director of IIM Calcutta said, “The purpose of EPHM is to upskill and prepare professionals for the future in the healthcare sector and enable them with the right knowledge to become better decision-makers.”

Medical practitioners who have degrees in MBBS or BDS or BAMS from the colleges recognised by UGC or AICTE and students having backgrounds in biomedical and biotechnology can apply and they must have minimum experience of 3years in the healthcare sector.
