Ravi Kumar Dahiya of India took silver after a hard-fought final against ROC's Zavur Uguev in the Men's 57kg gold medal match. The Indian wrestler gave it his all, but he couldn't beat Zavur Uguev, a two-time world champion. Ravi Kumar was defeated 4-7 in the final bout. He won the silver medal, India's second silver medal at the Tokyo Olympics 2020, following Mirabai Chanu's silver. This is also India's fifth Olympic medal at Tokyo Olympic Games 2020.

Ravi Kumar Dahiya qualified for the finals of the men's freestyle 57 kg event on August 4, 2021, ensuring India another medal at the Tokyo Olympics 2020. Ravi Kumar advanced to the finals by defeating Kazakhstan's Nurislam Sanayev in the semi-finals at Makuhari Messe Hall A, Mat B. India is now certain to take home another medal. Ravi Kumar Dahiya is the first Indian wrestler to reach the finals since Sushil Kumar at the London Olympics in 2012. The championship game will take place on August 5th.
