About Lovlina Borgohain
Lovlina Borgohain is from Assam's Golaghat district. Her father is a small-business owner. Lovlina began her career as a kickboxer but later switched to boxing when the opportunity arose. The Sports Authority of India held trials at her high school, and she took part in them. Padum Boro, a renowned coach, noticed and chose her and also started training her in 2012.
Her older twin sisters, Licha and Lima, had also competed in kickboxing at the national level but had not pursued it further. Her biggest break came when she was chosen to compete in the welterweight boxing category at the 2018 Commonwealth Games. She did not, however, win a medal after losing in the quarterfinals.
