Supreme Court of India will consider a petition to postpone the upcoming ICAI CA 2021 exam, which is slated to begin on July 5, 2021. A plea of ??guilt requires a postponement of the exam in the event that the institute is unable to comply with all COVID-19 recommendations, and is also trying to select examination centers for students. The case is considered by a panel of three judges of the high court, which includes Judge A.M. Hanvilkar, Judge Dinesh Maheshwari and Judge Aniruddha Bose. Yesterday, the court adjourned the hearing for a day, giving ICAI time to respond to three lawsuits filed in this regard.
Best time to take CA exams says ICAI
During yesterday's hearings, attorney Pramod Dayal, representing the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of India (ICAI), said that with the rapid decline in COVID-19 cases, the present is the most favorable time for surveys. In a preliminary document, the institute noted that more than 374,000 students at 847 examination centers will take exams, and most of them aim to take the exam in July. In addition, the institute also said that with the peak of the 3rd wave of COVID-19 expected in September-October, ICAI stated,
“Since Covid-19 is dynamic in nature, ICAI has a very narrow exam window. July 2021 ?.
The institute said 374,230 candidates will be housed in 10,820 rooms in 847 centers as part of various contamination screening measures during the CA exams. This means that only 12 students will sit in the examination room, making sure that the principles of social distancing are respected letter and spirit throughout the exam. The institute also said that 282,000 candidates have downloaded their admission tickets so far, a testament to their willingness to participate in the CA exam attempt in July 2021.
